A California Northern train heads south down the old SP West Valley Line in 1994. We were on the way to Winterail, so we were pleased to catch a CFNR train.

The SP 8530 East is pictured with its train of empties at Cortena siding. The SP mothballed this line several years later, eventually leasing it to the California Northern.
